7,500 KVA of power from three separate circuits serviced from two separate KCP&L substations and two separate points of entry located on opposite sides of the facility
-
Fully redundant power infrastructure: GenSet power configuration includes four, 1.5 megawatt diesel generators providing 6 megawatts of N+1 stand-by power, with on-site diesel fuel supply and refueling contracts
Network Connectivity
-
Choose any bandwidth provider you prefer, including implementing bandwidth from our own highly redundant, high performance and immediately available circuits
-
Arsalon Technologies’ bandwidth is provided by diversified Tier-1 carriers and is managed through redundant routers utilizing BGP4 for automated fail-over and Performance Based Routing protocols monitored 24×7 for the highest in reliability and performance
-
All network equipment components are fully redundant (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) and utilize HSRP
-
Private dark fiber network connecting all three data center facilities with the ability to extend to clients throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area
Cooling
-
Arsalon has deployed redundant N+1 CRAC units providing closed loop forced air cooling in the data center
-
Redundant dedicated Liebert Air-Handling Units regulate temperature, humidity and airflow in the computer rooms, keeping the environments at an optimum level for the computer system
Fire Suppression
-
Specially designed, two-alarm VESDA fire detection system and automated FM-200 and E-Caro25 fire-suppression systems prevent excessive damage to data center equipment in case of fire
-
FM-200 and E-Caro25 gas-based agents saturate the room, coating oxygen molecules in the air to prevent/extinguish a fire
Network Security and Monitoring
-
Network Operations Center (NOC) is staffed 24x7x365 by operations personnel and network engineers who monitor all systems for alerts and provide immediate response
-
Infrastructure components such as power, temperature and humidity are monitored 24x7x365
-
Network infrastructure components such as routing, switching and bandwidth are monitored 24x7x365 with certified network engineers available to respond to problems anytime day or night
Data Center Building Infrastructure
-
Purpose built to be a data center with 36” raised floors
-
Interior wall plan is designed to provide additional barriers and a buffer zone to further protect premise equipment housed inside the facility
-
All electrical and data communications circuits are provisioned through dedicated and secured underground conduit from two separate entrances
-
Roof rating to withstand an F3 tornado and winds of 150 miles per hour
-
Facilities are not located within any identified flood plains, probably fault lines or risk for wildfires
